Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon ranch dressing seasoning
  • 1 cup chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup Frank's red hot sauce
  • 8 oz mozzerella cheese
  • Ranch dressing, if desired

Directions

  1. To prepare the dough, place the warm water in the bowl of a stand mixer. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let bloom, about 10 minutes.

  2. Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and turn the mixer (fitted with the dough hook) to medium. Knead until the dough comes together to form a smooth dough ball. Remove dough to an oiled bowl and place in the oven with the light turned on. Let rise for one hour, or until doubled in bulk.

  3. When the dough has doubled, punch it down. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
Roll the dough out on a well-floured surface to a 12-inch circle and place on a pizza stone or pan.

  4. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the cream cheese, stirring constantly to prevent it from burning on the bottom of the pan.  Once the cream cheese has melted, spread it evenly over the pizza crust and sprinkle with the ranch seasoning powder. Sprinkle all but 1/4 cup of the cheese over the crust.

  5. Toss the chicken with the hot sauce to coat and put the chunks of chicken evenly over the cheese. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake for 10 minutes or until the dough is golden and the cheese has melted. Drizzle ranch dressing over the pizza before serving, if desired.

More about your specialty pizza...

Although everyone loves traditional pepperoni as a topping, it can be fun to spice up your pizza using unusual and unexpected ingredients. It is obviously an incredibly versatile food, so you have plenty of freedom to choose your toppings, cheese, and sauce. The great thing about it is that it is easy to tailor it to the needs of your guests.

Meat lovers will love a barbecue chicken pie with cheddar cheese instead of the traditional mozzarella. For a unique vegetarian pie, try adding zucchini, eggplant, roasted red peppers, feta cheese, and olive oil. Or you could even try a dessert themed pizza, using a cinnamon glaze for the sauce and topped with apples and pears.

We strive to bring you the best recipes, no matter what kind of unique toppings you choose. We hope that you enjoy all of the recipes that you find on this site and that you will continue to visit pizzamenu.com for all of your pizza making needs.
